Corten steel’s signature rust patina is both beautiful and protective, but graze, abrasion, or sanding can easily strip it away. BROMOCO CT-7571, a high-performance coating, offers a remarkably simple and effective solution to restore the weathered look in minutes.
We will now demonstrate this process to you. It begins with a raw, fully rusted Corten steel panel—its natural protective layer intact. Then creating some deep scars and bright metal exposure on it. To simulate real-world wear, the surface is deliberately sanded with P80 abrasive paper.

XL-08 accelerator is then spotted onto the abraded zones, instantly triggering a vigorous foaming reaction that develops an authentic weathered rust layer within days.

After rapid grinding to level the surface, a thin, even coat of BROMOCO CT-7571-W is then applied with a small roller. The water-based formula goes on smoothly and dries quickly.

Once dry, the treated area seamlessly returns to the exact appearance of the untouched original rust patina—rich brown tones, natural texture, and all.

This before-and-after sequence demonstrates the coating’s outstanding restorative power:

It doesn’t just cover damage—it actively recreates the authentic Corten aesthetic while adding long-term protection. Ideal for architectural details, sculptures, furniture, or any Corten surface that has seen wear, BROMOCO CT-7571 makes maintenance effortless and results stunning.
One product, one coat, and the timeless beauty of Corten steel is fully restored.
